A NIGHT IN ROME

This 'Night in Rome' Theme, was commissioned by Tom for the celebration of his 30th Birthday. The event was held at 'River Park Place',  in Brisbane and co-ordinated by Kim Woolard of 'My Special Events'.  Tom and Kim utilised all our services: Prop Hire, Installation and Design.

DESIGN

Site Inspection

When I met with Tom he expressed his desire to create an epic Toga party in honour of his closest friends, family and colleagues. We discussed rhe possibilities with the venue managers and agreed upon a basic concept.

Concept Drawings

We developed two sets of drawings: (1) Classic and (2) 'Bells and Whistles'. Tom settled on something in between.

INSTALLATION

River Walk Place is a very busy venue and we had to wait until another event was finished. This required some extra hands and no little amount of hustle to complete on time. Lighting and power are a big component of our service; fortunately power points were plentiful and little time was wasted in getting the leads and lighting in place...in some venues this can be very time consuming.

SUMMARY

In addition to an epic amount of Props and lashings of White Chiffon, Tom also provided his guests with a sumptuous feast of Spit Roasted Pork and a buffet fit for the Roman Senate. This buffet style servery was decorated with our Roman Bar canopies including Illuminated Columns and White Chiffon Drapes, the Tables were dressed in White Linen with Gold Sashes and the Tables were Centred with our Roman Candelabra which filled the room with the elegant flicker of Candlelight and Ivy. An epic vision Tom and well executed Kim! Some late night chats with your guests affirmed that your goals were achieved.
